Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent in the very first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in third round TKO. She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her off in the second round by KO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina, and ground-and - beat her to the TKO win in the second round. In her second fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and each fighter received an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya lost in the third at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
